I came up with this performance as a sketch. I took a sheet of paper and immediately began making a layout, first creating a sterile purgatory space. Then I filled it with clean paper clothes so that the heroes could try on different characters. I cut through the center of the airplane window, the "all-seeing eye." The window in our performance played many functions: it was a mirror and an airplane window, a frame for photographs and a screen with video, and an accent for the actor's monologue. In our play, four actors tell a story about life and death, faith and unbelief, about how important it is to keep your word not only to others, but also to yourself.
A clean paper space makes it possible to start life from scratch.
