The novel "Anna Karenina" has always been a rather difficult text for me to implement on the theater stage; I always thought about how I would draw it, what kind of performance I would come up with based on this novel. And then a proposal arose to compose a play on a large stage, which, among other things, was well technically equipped. The performance is filled with many set elements, props, costumes with masks and makeup. I made the setting for our novel the metro in Paris, where you can find a huge variety of images and events, a busy setting, constant movement of underground carriages and people, a crossroads at which our heroes find themselves. We made the decorations for many months; it was painstaking work in the workshops. Materials and textures, decoration details, furniture carefully selected by me. Our costumes look like a separate work of art, they have a complex cut, a carefully selected combination of fabrics, the costumes are hand-embroidered with embroidery, beads, feathers, decorative elements, braid, sewn according to the principle of multi-layering with the addition of clothing details with a historical cut.
