I was inspired to create the costumes for this performance by Pina Bausch. Only women play in our performance, they tell the stories of their grandmothers, mothers, the stories of their families, and we wanted them to be dressed comfortably and casually, but at the same time elegant and feminine. We decided to create a series of dresses. I collected a general palette of colors, looked for fabrics that would combine with each other individually and in the overall composition too. I tried to come up with a cut that would send us back to the 1940s and at the same time look modern, such dresses are timeless. It was important for us that each actress fit her dress, so that each could feel her dress, so that the costume would help in working on the role.
