The performance "Kashtanka" is one of my favorite performances, when there was not a moment of boredom at work. We were constantly in the process of composing new elements of scenery and costumes; these were moments of absolute creativity)!
Since childhood, I remember the story "Kashtanka" and I was always tormented by the same question, why Kashtanka returned to the owner who mocked her, although the new owner treated her very well. And remembering how I read this story as a child and imagined it in pictures, that's how I now composed my set.
It is also dear to me that in our performance we talk about ourselves, about our work in the theater and about the people who surround us and, in general, our performance is about people and time here and now.
